A Romantic Fete

Friday, January 20, 2012

I've been feeling overly sentimental lately. It might be that this time of year I celebrate my love for my husband twice, with our anniversary (one year!) & with Valentines Day. Or what I really think it is, is I have been at a loss for a good romantic movie. I haven't enjoyed a chick flick for probably over 2 months. The last one I saw being The Holiday (which is one of my favs!).

It's kind of like when you are dehydrated & can only think about getting water. I'm starved for a good love story to get all my lovey dovey feelings out. My go to's are, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Pride & Prejudice, Away We Go, Moulin Rouge & French Kiss.

Does anyone have any recommendations? What are your favorites?

You can also see this arrangement featured on one of my favorites Plain & Fancy.

This arrangement is just gorgeous. I need you to do floral design at my wedding, if that day ever comes ;) Have you seen Bleak House (by Dickens)...and it's a a really long series on Netflix right now!

One of my favorites is Sweet Home Alabama. I just think it's a cute story! Okay, and maybe I think being surprised IN TIFFANY & CO is pretty fabulous too ;)

Romantic movies? Hmmm... so many! My recent fave is Midnight in Paris. Have you seen? I also like Knocked Up, Moonstruck, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (beautiful!), Annie Hall. I hear Like Crazy was good but I missed it in theaters...

My all time favorite is The Wedding Date with Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney. I can't help but be a giggly mess throughout the entire film. {Regardless of how many times I've seen it} :)

I love The Holiday! My go to chick flick is Under the Tuscan Sun, I've probably seen it a bazillion times, but it never gets old :)

I personally love Love, Actually. A total romantic weird Christmas-y movie.

Also Me and You and Everyone We Know is an off beat romance as is Wrist Cutters: A Love Story. and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Garden State is always a classic.
